On 16 December 2025, the Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE) published its annual list of the 100 most outstanding startups of the year. Kernova is part of that group.
The list brings together companies based in 43 science and technology parks across 15 autonomous communities. Digital, health, biotechnology, sustainability and energy sectors take up a good part of the ranking, alongside industrial, aeronautical, electronics and engineering consulting initiatives.
Our work is not born in presentations or speeches about innovation. It is born in machines that need to be redesigned, in systems that must work better, in industrial environments where decisions are validated with calculations, tests and measurable results.
At Kernova we work on the electrification of hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, on patented electromechanical solutions such as the Smart Eco-Motion Kit, and on mechanical and civil engineering projects that require advanced finite element analysis and real industrial judgement. Projects where there is no room for improvisation.
Being part of the APTE Top 100 Startups 2025 means that this kind of work also has a place within the ecosystem of Spanish science and technology parks. An ecosystem that, according to the report itself, is increasingly diverse and combines digital technologies with industry, energy and sustainability.
The list also reflects other facts worth noting, such as the presence of women in almost half of the management teams, or the impact of programmes such as APTENISA, developed together with ENISA, on the creation of new technology companies.
APTE makes detailed information on each startup available, from its sector and park of origin to its investment status or year of creation, with the aim of giving visibility to the talent developed in these environments and facilitating connections with investors interested in growth projects.
For Kernova, this recognition comes while we keep working on the same thing as always: applied engineering, well-founded technical decisions and solutions that have to work in real conditions.
